Croydon Lives event
We want to talk to members of the public who would not usually report crimes or seek support from a traumatic incident. Your experiences matter to us and the memories of those we have lost deserve to be remembered
Time & Location
19 May, 18:00 – 20:00
Croydon, 166 N End, Croydon CR0 1UF, UK
About the event
Croydon Lives is a research initiative that aims to explore the factors leading up to incidents of violent crime, including but not limited to: domestic violence, hate crimes, anti-social behaviour, violent crime, sexual assault, murder and manslaughter. This initiative will have a trauma-informed approach and will be co-designed with victims and families of victims.
We aim to produce interactive resources guides that can be:
· Distributed to professionals working with victims of crime, parents, guardians and the community, as a point of reference to safeguarding procedures, county lines information and other support services.
We aim to support those impacted by crime and who for personal reasons will not report the crime or access support services.
For the event we will be giving a interative presentation about the research initiative, from conception to present day, it will be an opportunity to hear from our partners at Kingston University and more.
